Hello CACNY,
Our next meeting will be May 11, 10:00 - 12:30* at Fordham University Lincoln Center.
We will be in the 12th Floor Lounge of the Lowenstein Center, which is located at 113 West 60th Street.
We have added additional time to the meeting to ensure that we cover all agenda items. All CACNY members are urged to RSVP early and attend this very important meeting.
1. CACNY Board Elections:We will hear from the current slate of CACNY Board candidates and vote for the next round of Board members to lead CACNY.
2. 2017 CACNY Scholarship: We will conduct our 2017 CACNY Scholarship Recognition Ceremony.
3. Summer Melt: Every year a significant number of low-income students who were accepted to college and intend to enroll fail to show up on campus in the fall. This phenomenon is known as summer melt.
Research has identified interventions that can have positive impact
Liz Kahn and Maggie Brown will join us to provide information on what Summer Melt is and highlight interventions that can mitigate it.
